Settings:

Click on the "Radio Button" to select the template style.
They look like this:

Not selected
The Writing Worksheet template has it's own options you can select
Selecting Additional Settings
- You select the "number per sheet" - the number of words on each printed page (see notes under "Hints>Printing")
- Whether pictures are displayed, and what type: colour or black and white clipart, pictograms/icons
- What Typeface(font) and it's size relative to your browser's settings - so it's closest to what you see on the screen.
- Border settings - how do you want the box around each sign to look? Border or no border, and how dark it will appear
Hints:
General Hints
- If you hover over a sign image, the 'Mouse Over' text will display, and you'll see the main word this sign is filed under.
- Where there are multiple signs available, the image should have a blue border and the word 'Multiple' will appear in the 'mouse over' text.
- Click on an image to open it full size. Sign English words are shown with black borders.
Entering Text to be Converted
- Enter any numbers as words, not numerals. ie: 'Seven' not '7'
- If you do not want sign english joining words used, make sure this is unselected (signed english words appear with a black border). Fingerspelling will be used as a substitute if ticked, but be aware that they do not always display correctly when printing out (they currently muck up the page layout - to be fixed)
- If a sign does not appear that you think is in our database, try entering it in the present tense. ie: 'look' not 'looked', 'looking' or 'looks'. While we have tried to enter all possibilities in our keywords so the sign will be found, there may be possibilities we have not thought of
Using the Output
There are a number of things you can do with the output other than merely printing
- In your browser's menu, go to Edit>Select All then Edit>Copy. You can then paste that into other packages such as word, corel etc.
- In your browser's menu, go to File>Save As. Select where you wish to save the page (such as "Desktop") and enter a filename. Then open the subsequent file in any compatable software (such as word).
- Once you have got the output into the software of your choice, you can remove signs, change fonts to those already on your computer, and their sizes, add fancy borders, change the colours etc.
Note that you must retain the credit line for copyright purposes
- Note The the Dice Template creates every page as a picture. Thusly you can right mouse click on them and select "Save As" to save them. You cannot currently save them as a PDF file.
Printing
If you are printing 1 per sheet, you
need to set your printer's paper to "Landscape" mode (as opposed to
"Portrait").
